
Cherry Creek Man Indicted for Burglary, Assault and Possession of Stolen Firearm

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Cherry Creek man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for First Degree Burglary, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm. Christopher James Fire Cloud, age 18, was indicted by a federal grand jury on May 10, 2011, for First Degree Burglary, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm. He appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on May 26, 2011, and pled not guilty to the indictment.
The investigation is being conducted by the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Division. Assistant United States Attorney Mikal Hanson is prosecuting the case. Fire Cloud was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal. A trial date of July 19, 2011, has been set. |
